Themes question please
#1
When I click on "appearance" I only see 3 themes.
If I navigate to the "themes" folder there are many more listed.
Why aren't they showing up in "appearance"?

Thanks

As you can see from the screenshot, there are multiple themes in my /usr/share/themes folder, yet as you can see there are only 3 available when I select "Appearance" from the whisker menu.
I can't seem to find a .themes folder. Where is that located?

Thanks
Len

When you open folder to paste theme into themes folder did you open folder as Admin?

I don't know but would a theme work 64bit with a 64bit themes.

Hopefully someone can help you out.

Hello!

UIAM, I believe that themes not installed in the /usr/share/themes directory aren't displayed in Appearances. To copy any themes you download into this directory, you will have to right-click the folder and select 'Open as Administrator' or 'Open as Root' to open the folder as root in Thunar...

Funny thing is, I havent installed any themes yet. This is a stock system.
So where can I access all the themes in the themes folder?

Jerry, I read through the themes section and it doesn't answer my basic question.
I know how to add themes.
My question is:

1.Why are there only a few themes listed in the "Appearance" tab, yet there are many more listed in the "themes" folder.
2. How can I access all of the themes in the theme folder. I installed a few, but the majority appear to be installed by default. Yet they are not accessible.

If they are in the "themes" folder, shouldn't they appear in the "Appearance" theme tab? I would like to take a look at them.
You can clearly see the difference in the screen shots I included.

There are only 3 in the "Appearance" themes tab, yet there are 17 listed in the "themes" folder.

Thanks!

Hello Lend27,
Maybe most of those themes are window manager themes.
Have a look at this thread:
https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/other...8/#msg5278
also some themes are in /usr/share/themes
Code:
ls /usr/share/themes
