[SOLVED] Blank Screen Instead of Login Screen
#1
Worked fine before, I reinstalled Linux Lite, and now I'm sometimes getting blank screen with a mouse cursor instead of login screen, also when I lock screen. The only thing I can do is press power buton to shutdown computer.

I don't dual boot, and I disabled blank screen option, in power / lite locker settings and even in screensaver settings. Someone encountered it?

Try this - https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/index...4#msg10954 and see if your pc still goes blank.

Hi, it doesn't work. And I need session locking. I didn't really changed anything much from previous installation, something must have got corrupted during installation or something.

Have you installed any drivers at all?

New drives? No. I just have a 3 partitions, first is for Linux Lite, second for swap, and third is a NTFS partition for data with checked "do not use this partition". I don't use separate home partition.

Btw, I followed Linux Lite's documentation, where you recommend mount point for a NTFS partition, I typed in /home/username/DATA. I ended up with default XFCE desktop and ugly icons... So I did another reinstall, the same happened. Then I did another, but this time, I left the "do not use this partition", and it booted up into default Linux Lite's desktop. But I doubt it has something to do with that, first I thought my USB stick was damaged. Some weird glitch though, I saw one thread about this on this forum somewhere, but it was unanswered.

If I have to reinstall system again, I will wait for Lite 2.4

The question was drivers, not 'drives'.

Well you shouldn't need a video driver, I'll have to sleep on this one. You could go for reinstall, I doubt 2.4 is going to make a difference it's practically the same with newer software, settings, tweaks, etc. This time just mount any NTFS partitions on the root file system, eg. /myntfs
