[SOLVED] Phantom Floppy Drive
#1
I reinstalled 32 bit 2.0 LL on an old computer. It's up and running fine, but on the desktop it shows a "floppy drive". I can't mount the drive, but that isn't surprising as the computer has no floppy drive at all, never did.  I have no idea where this icon came from, I never saw it on the previous install (same LL 2.0).

How can I get rid of this, I like my desktop clean?

Is it listed under Settings/desktop/Icons tab/Default Icons?  If so, uncheck it?

Hi Chris
Have you checked the computer BIOS options? I wonder if there's a floppy reference there that could be set to off?

That was it ... clean desktop again, that's what I'm talkin' about!
Not sure how that happened, but whatever.
Thanks!
