Acer notebook A114-31-C8M3 Linux Lite keyboard problem.
Hello iam sorry to bother you iam based in the uk in the cumbria region and iam the founder of a technology project a few weeks ago i received a red acer notebook as a donation for the project i work at. And i tested windows 11 to begin with and found out the notebook had a 32Gb Emmc chip after the windows 11 install there was not much space left. So i then installed linux lite on the notebook and it works great but there is 1 slight problem the keyboard launguage is not correct. I have tried to adjust the keyboard settings to uk as the default launguage and this worked for about a day and then the notebook reverted back to the original problem. So now iam reaching out to the linux lite team for some help please which would be great. I look forward to receiving a reply Thankyou Christopher Kneale.

Christopher,
Welcome to the forum. It's not really clear what you are describing but try looking at the keyboard layout GUI. This is found by clicking
'Menu' then 'Settings' then 'Keyboard'
Select the 'Layout' Tab and tell us what layouts are listed in the in the 'Keyboard Layout' view and what order they are in.

If the keyboard layout you want is not showing, use the 'add' button to put it in.
If there are multiple layouts (other than the one you want) showing in the 'Keyboard Layout' view, select the unwanted ones in turn and click 'Remove' each time leaving only the one that works for you.
Shutdown and restart to see if it is any better.

If something else is going on, can you be more specific about what the original problem is and what you change that fixes it for 'about a day' ?
