Package Update Indicator freezes system
#1
I noticed several times already that the Package Update Indicator freezes my whole system when it gets active.
Does anybody noticed the same and how did you solve it?
My CPU hangs on 100% and memory use is during the freeze 50-60%.
No idea what's the problem but I can solve the freeze by a reboot.
Help is welcome  Smile

Looking at your specs (circa 2008) you'd be better of running 4 Series at the latest, 3 would be preferable but Support for it runs out next April. It's a matter of matching the hardware you have, with the right OS.
Download your free copy of Linux Lite today.

Well it's not running too bad on this old box it's just the freeze I get once and a while. However now I noticed that it had not to do with the update indicator since I was just booting up and after 5 minutes I got the freeze again. It's something on the background causing this issue and I still didn't figure what it is. I've run several distro's on this box and didn't have this problem before. I like Linux Lite too much for just letting it go because of this, I prefer to solve the issue Smile
