Screen frozen after sleep mode
#1
I have had issues with my screen freezing after coming out of sleep mode. The situation has become so bad that I am now dual booting with another distro (Linux Mint) and have to resort to using that instead. The only way I can use LL is to power up from scratch. I don't want to kiss LL goodbye, can somebody suggest a remedy please? Should I wait until LL 3.0 is released? Can I upgrade over LL 2.8 - I read somewhere that is not possible. That being the case, what's the best alternative?

Thanks
Paul

I think I've found the culprit of my problems - Compton compositing manager. I haven't had much success with compositing managers - Compiz was just as bad. I'd be interested to know if others have had similar issues. I removed it and voilà!

If anybody can suggest another alternative compositing manager for LL 2.8, I'm all ears.
