Can't see shared resource on network
#5
I ran the curl command -- no luck.
I turned off the firewall - no luck.
I did all of the updates from Terminal -- no luck.

These were the update commands I ran:
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

I shut down then restarted -- no luck.
  • I am still unable to mount a flash drive.  When I plug it in, it shows up in Thunar file manager, but it is grayed out and inaccessble.
  • I still can't see the shared drive.
  • I stlll can't run updates from the GUI -- after clicking the icon and waiting a few minutes, it tells me "Your computer is not connected to the internet.  Linux Lite cannot check for updates.  Please check your internet connection and try again."  I know I am connected to the internet, because I can surf the web.

Any more suggestions?

Thanks for your help.
