Yes if you haven't installed 2.0 yet; then that would be ideal 8)...
FYI..
I would install LL2.6 then upgrade to LL2.8 the kernel in 2.6 is 3.13 vs 2.8 with 3.19. Kernel 3.13 has longer support vs 3.19 which I believe has expired. (If my version numbers are correct)...
Unless you plan on updating to a 4.x kernel then it shouldn't matter...
