and i think the one your showing to me is the Network Settings which is different from proxy settings but thanks for sharing the info :-X
however, i just sorted it out (courtesy of torreydale) but it's not as elaborate as that from Ubuntu GUI in which it's so quick to manipulate

in Ubuntu, it looks like these:

the dropdown-button under Method has options of None, Manual, and Automatic 8)
but i think i'm contented of it for now :
