Since the hardware database includes the computer's brand name, it would be more meaningful to me if the model number were also included.

That's easier said than done unfortunately. We'd have to somehow acquire a list of all computer models ever made in the last 20 or so years. If you read the hardware page, it states the purpose of the database. Cheers
