Lost files
#3
Hi  gold_finger

Not too sure where it came from - it is quite a while since I started using it

The program is placed in my Home/Colin/Keepboard folder which contains

HISTORY folder with saved data from clipboard
PREFS user prefs
JAR.JAR  java program
START.SH to start it

Using the "Session/Start up" to point at the START.SH folder so it saves all the data that is sent to the clipboard
[/size]
Hope this helps

I had problems getting it to work using the Java that comes in LL
After installing  openjdk-7-jre  it worked- a K with a blue background icon appears in the notification area.
To see what data is stored double click the K icon.
Any old clipboard  entry can be pasted by clicking on it
If you need to keep items they can be stored in Folders

I was more interested to see where the lost data went and if I could recover the HISTORY file . The actual data is not a great loss as I made a Copy of the Home folder before I reinstalled LL

I was unable to get LL to Boot - "starting bridge socket events into upstart hangs" --something about failing to load some "Container" ? so it never got past it .  .
I made a post on here "Lite not finishing loading" with not much help so Reinstalled Lite.
Sometimes it is easier and quicker not to waste time trying to sort it .

Like when an electronic item goes funny or stops -- Switch it off - if needs to give it 10 mins for the power supply to fully drain then switch on and if it was just a glitch it will reboot OK - worked for me lots of times
