Linux Lite will not play nice with VIA chipset
#8
I don't know why that 1st link says paste removed. Lets try this again.

http://pastebin.com/wxYu9cPz

I double checked and my link took me there. But I am logged into pastebin. Which I am a free member of. Means I have the free account.

I keep conky text files I make and other stuff I might need online. I am a old dog that suffers from CRS (can't remember stuff)

Try that one. Rename the one you just made to xorg.conf.old. Lets teach you another trick.

Code:
sudo cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf  /etc/X11/xorg.conf.old

which will make a exact copy of your xorg.conf you made and all you are doing is saying copy my document I just made and rename it to old on the the end.

You can use the cd and ls commands I showed you earlier to do a look see when done to see if it worked or not.

Then you can edit the xorg.conf left in place to what ever you want. The one named old won't interact with your screen anymore. It is just a backup now.

Off topic now.

I am jazzed my own personal project. The Frankenstein Lawnmower Bicycle Work Stand.
Made from Scrap Metal at no cost to me.
Came out as good as it did.
