The 'grub-efi-amd64-signed package' failed to install into /target/.
#1
I am trying to install linux lite on an old desktop PC and I keep getting this message when installing:

Code:
The 'grub-efi-amd64-signed package' failed to install into /target/.

I have tried all the different bios settings and additional partitions that were suggested online, but nothing worked.

Does anyone have any idea how to get past this issue?

Is it plugged into the Internet?

No, not connected.

I managed to get int working by booting the non-UEFI version of the USB.

5.2 needs to be connected to pull down the UEFI packages.

Right. Noted thanks.

For some reason the internet on this PC doesn't want to connect over the wifi.
That was the main reason I tried to do without internet.
I didn't want to move the whole setup closer to the modem so I can connect a ethernet cable.
