Installing Linux Lite 32-bit on EEE 900 netbook

As the title implies, I am trying to get linux lite to install on my EEE 900.  I am booting from a flash drive, and when I get to the boot screen if I choose to start linux lite,  it will freeze immediately.  Memtest86+ will run but anything else freezes.

This computer has an Intel Celeron 900 mhz processor and 2 gb of ram.  I am currently running Ubuntu 14.04.5 and it works well, but a little slow.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you confirm that md5sum of downloaded LL ISO file matches one shown on downloads page?


What method did you use to make the USB stick?
