I think we should all be extremely thankful for a forum where the creator and development team are so actively involved. Earlier this morning I finally was able to resolve an issue on a different forum. That forum has absolutely nothing to to with Linux or even technology. It's a totally different type of forum, but that's not relevant to my appreciation for this forum. To make a very long story short, there was a "management change" at different levels and the forum was suddenly flying on auto pilot. None of the new management had even bothered to register on the forum. That went on for almost 3 months. About a month ago, the Private Messaging function ceased working. I use PM regularly and made post after post asking for assistance. No reply. Then a few days ago a "fight", so to speak, broke out on the forum. It got WAY out of hand, but still no one bothered to check in, let alone lock the troubling thread and/or remove it. Again, long story short, I eventually started working my way up through the management ladder and finally reached someone that either cared enough, or had enough weight, to get the new moderators actively involved with the forum.
And then I come here and check new threads or the latest replies to old ones and what do I see? The whole dad gummed team actively involved and exchanging ideas with us "common folk". Yep, it's certainly refreshing! 8)
