Welcome
I've moved your thread to the Installing Linux Lite section and given it a new name as it isn't specific to version 7.4 Release Announcement.

Quote:Installer problem?
Almost certainly. Setting language/keyboard during install may not be the best time to do it for a consistent result.
Complete the installation/full update/reboots using the language defaults and then change the language once the system is up. Does that work better ?

It only works halfway. The full language setting is not complete. It writes everything in half English. There was no such problem in Ubuntu. But linuxmint did not cause any problems either.
This is the first time I have encountered such a problem.

Sorry to hear you are having problems.

It's not clear what steps you are taking to set the Language and what problems you have after setting the language.

If you can describe exactly, step by step, the method you use to set the language and keyboard layout and give specific examples of the problem - perhaps screenshots would make it clear - we can try to reproduce the issue.

Keyboard language has been successfully changed.

I updated the language packs on the system and put Hungarian at the top of the list. However, half of the menu system is still in English.
Is it possible that the translation into Hungarian is incomplete?
I find it strange that in most distros the language and keyboard settings are a basic automatic thing. The fact that even after subsequent settings it doesn't sound completely in the desired language is a bit strange.
It is possible that the installer needs to be modified a bit so that the system automatically applies the set language and keyboard layout after installation. Many people may be put off by the fact that they have to fiddle with the system right away on the first boot to get proper input and an understandable interface.

Ok, I think I understand.

There was an attempt to get the Lite menus translated back in June 2023 using a template.  See this thread.

I don't think there were any volunteers for Hungarian, so my guess is this may be what you are seeing.  If the template matches the untranslated menu items on your system and you can volunteer to help I think there are instructions in the thread.  If Jerry sees this, he may be able to confirm.

if I've misunderstood, sorry.
