garden planning software suggestions
#1
Hello,

I am looking for suggestions for an offline garden planning software for LL, that can save as a jpg or png ?

I wanted one that can allow -

- adding of shapes (squares and rectangles)
- has plant add feature, has custom plant add feature (for any missing in software)
- add features for, paths, gravel, pond, rocks, garden furniture.
- has a mode for planning greenhouse and internal features.

Hi [member=411]bitsnpcs[/member] -- I haven't used garden design software, but I appreciate gardening. I found this option that looks promising -- Edraw. I don't know whether it hits all your points or not.

Is there a reason you want it to be off-line software? Since many resources and tools are online now. SmartDraw looks like another good tool, which has a Windows downloadable version and an online version.

Hello [member=5059]whateverthing[/member] ,

Edraw looks good, I think it is a trial of a paid for software though?
It says "you can download it, and look at it for free".

Yes, I don't use online software as it usually requires to make an account, give details, use social media/networks. If online and is server issues I could lose all of the time used to do it, as I am not very quick at that its new for me to try it. This would mean it is not time efficient.
I do not have Windows, I use only Linux Lite desktops since January 2018, and VM's Linux other distro for learning from a book.
