Changing the DE
#1
XFCE 4 has few problems with Intel HD graphics. Any suggestions for a new DE? Will installing a new DE erase all the data?

Hello dlalinsp,

one way to try it out is to install a second LL in VirtualBox, which will allow for experimentation.

lntel HD, I use the Intel Graphics Stack - https://01.org/linuxgraphics/downloads/stack

You can have multiple DE and switch between them.
But not all will work 100%, some of them will even be "broken".
I only tested in "trashable" VM machines so I don't know if removing unwanted DE also breaks stuff.
Try in a Virtual Machine before you buy! Wink

Cheers!
