Gnome-Boxes in Lite Software would fit Simple Fast Free nicely, It runs in Deb XFCE and Ubu. I realize it presents some issues but it seems like mostly minor gtk stuff on the interface. It would be a worthwhile addition. VirtualBox is basically junk. New clicker users would find gnome-boxes much easier to use.

Not cross - platform and as household a name as VirtualBox. VB is just so much more dominant and folks have been exposed to it more. Definitely easier to use than VB. What's the 3D & USB3 support like?

I haven't installed from USB for a while (usually just download the ISO and install from downloads or go get a qcow image) but I'll give it whirl later. Media loads from DVD or USB work very simply. The remote features work very well. No issues. Deb, Dev, and Ubu installers all work without a hitch and Fedora of course. Lately I've been working on trying to configure frugal stuff in it like TinyCore, Porteus, and WRT. SSH to a box works as well. It is a nice piece of software in Debian anyway. Really does fit the philosophy here. I'm going to try to set it up in LL soon, but I'm hanging back until Deb releases Buster. I'm sure I can fix the dependency issues and make it work  but I can't modify it without a little input from the Devs. Using and debugging stuff is in my wheelhouse but not developing it.

Sorry. Yes to USB3 with xhci. 3D with FWS30 so far. The host and virt system in both cases must support it to begin with. With LLs place as often taken to be used on older hardware I think the development pace will run ahead of most LL users.

Thanks, I'll watch from a distance. They have a long road to knock VB and even VMWare off their respective perches.
