Java problem in Chrome
#1
I have an odd problem recently, Java works in Firefox, but not in Chrome. I can't understand how to tackle this, since it working in Firefox seems to indicate that the plugin is installed properly.

It has always been a bit troublesome in Chrome, but now it claims not to be installed in Chrome on many sites, and this is clearly not the case.

Is this a known problem? Haven't found anything searching in old and new forums.

Need some more information please. What kind of java do you have installed oracle or openjdk? What version of java is it? Which version of Linux Lite? What version of Chrome? What plugins do you have listed under about:plugins ?

Thanks, been away and wrestling with more pressing problems like installing proprietary display drivers.

I think I will write the Java problem off until I upgrade to 2.0+ when I get the time, and see if the issue persists, that is probably more efficient.
