I put the new wallpaper (shown at top of OP) in as my bootup splash screen (not the xfce splash but the bootup splash) since it is soooo much better than the current yellow background with feather. Now I will feel extra-happy every time I boot up my machines. Thanks Jerry for such a great distro.
[member=6960]Vera[/member] -- I love hearing that the new feather wallpaper design is being enjoyed by you and others! Thank you for calling that out.
I've added some wallpaper remixes to the thread recently:

Few hours later still smooth as glass 8) 8)
I upgraded all systems 1 thing I noticed I did have to set SAMBA back up (no biggie) https://www.linuxliteos.com/manual/network.html#shares
As in the upgrade change log, the share displays linuxliteshare; noticed if left the same a warning is received that a name is longer than 12 characters followed by another warning. The share will continue to work or if one wants the error removed change the share name from linuxliteshare to liteshare or another..

No way I could boot into Linux Lite 3.6 64bit through USB. I downloaded the ISO twice, one through torrent and other through mirror. I checked the hashs. I tried 3 different flashdrives, 3 different brands and manufacturers, I tried all way to "burn" the iso into the flashdrive: dd; ggrescue; etcher; usb-creator-gtk; unetbootin; etc. One day lost :'(
I didn't tried the 32bit version nor older releases.
I can only assume now there is some problem with the .ISO :-\
Also I tried UEFI on; Secure boot On | UEFI On; Secure boot Off | Legacy mode.
On UEFI the flashdrive ins't recognized as bootable. When I look into USB partition its like the EFI partition is missing.
On legacy I get the bootscreen but it thrives into error: casper cdrom something...
[EDIT]
Holycrap. I spent all day trying to install Linux Lite 3.6 on my notebook and only now I realize UEFI isn't supported. Sorry to bother you guys.

Linux Lite 3.6 Final is now available for download. There have been a number of changes since the 3.4 release.
In this release, we introduce two major new features. Firstly, Lite Sources is a repository selector that allows you to easily select a software repository nearest to you. When new versions of Linux Lite branded applications are released, you'll now get much faster download speeds thanks to Lite Sources. The second newest feature for Linux Lite 3.6 is the inclusion of both an online and offline search engine for the Linux Lite Help Manual. Search results are highlighted to allow you to easily find the help content you need fast.
See below for all the changes and how to use our new features.
Presenting Linux Lite 3.6 Final
Lite Sources - A new application for Linux Lite. Lite Sources is a repository selector for Linux Lite created/branded applications.
1. Menu, Settings, Lite Sources.
2. Enter your password.
3. Click on the Check Repos status button. We need to do this first to see which mirrors are currently active.
4. You will see the following dialogue box. Hit any key when you are ready.
5. Wait for the repository check to complete.
6. Make note of an ONLINE repository.
7. Select an ONLINE repository then click on Use selected Repo.
8. When finished, you'll get a notification.
NOTE: Lite Sources does not include Ubuntu repositories or software. This is only for Linux Lite created applications eg. Lite Software, Lite Welcome, Lite Tweaks etc.
New Search engine for the Help Manual - The Linux Lite Help Manual has received the long awaited search engine. This is the culmination of 4 free software projects rolled into one.
The search engine has been designed in such a way that the end result produces an easy to understand UI. The search engine is available both offline and online and is mobile/tablet friendly. See the online version here - https://www.linuxliteos.com/manual
1. Each page has a Search box directly below each pages contents menu, near the top of the page. Type in your search query.
TIP: For optimal results, only search for one or two words eg. nvidia instead of how do I install nvidia drivers
2. Click on the link in the search results.
3. When you arrive at the page that you clicked on, the search engine will automatically scroll to the first instance of that word, and it will also highlight in yellow every instance of that word on that page.
Mobile friendly:
Arc theme for Thunderbird - Has been included to ensure theme continuity across Linux Lite.
Changelog:
Kernel 4.4.0.93.98 (custom kernels also available via our Repository for versions 3.13 - 4.12)
Firefox 55.0.2
Thunderbird 52.2.1
LibreOffice 5.1.6.2
VLC - 2.2.2
Gimp 2.8.22
Base: 16.04.3
Better Bluray support
Arc theme for Thunderbird
Better Broadcom wireless support
Lite Upgrade has had some minor GUI and code changes
Lite Welcome has had some minor GUI changes
New wallpapers
Samba conf file - share name shortened from linuxliteshare to liteshare
Note: The Arc theme for Firefox has been removed. Development on the Firefox theme seems to have stalled and there are a number of unanswered issues on Github that are yet to be addressed. For this reason, the sensible thing to do is remove it as there are no guarantees it will play nice with future Firefox versions. If you have the Arc Firefox theme installed, I recommend disabling and/or removing it. In Firefox go to Tools, Addons, Appearance.
The system wide Arc theme has nothing to do with this issue.
Upgrading
> Menu, Favorites, Install Updates (you must reboot if asked to, otherwise continue to the next step)
> Set a Restore Point - Menu, System, Systemback
> Menu, Settings, Lite Upgrade
Lite Upgrade - What it will do:
- New Lite Sources
- New Lite Welcome
- New Lite Help Manual
- New Lite Upgrade
- New Wallpapers
- Install the Arc theme for Thunderbird (globally)
- Added Bluray support
- Added Broadcom wireless support
- Remove unattended upgrades and related Systemd start up services
- Back up your existing config files to: /home/user/.llupgradebackup/3.4/ (or whatever version you are upgrading from)
- Bug fixes, enhancements
Lite Upgrade - What it won't do:
- Change your samba conf file (people may already have a custom name set)
There is no upgrade path to or from Beta releases.
There is no upgrade path from Series 2 ( 2.0, 2.2, 2.4, 2.6, 2.8 ) to Series 3.
