To remove existing Dropbox, open a terminal and do:
Code: sudo apt-get remove --purge dropbox then: Code: sudo rm -rf /etc/apt/sources.list.d/dropbox.list then: Code: sudo apt-get update then: Open your home folder, press Ctrl+H and remove any hidden folders with the name 'dropbox' that you see. Menu, Settings, Session and Startup, Application Autostart tab, make sure there is no entry fro Dropbox, if there is try to remove or untick it. After that I would reboot, just to ensure there is no daemon running. Then use Menu > System > Install Additional Software to install it correctly.
