New partition - LarryB1607 - 08-02-2020 Created a new partition from space that I had from the Home partition. I plan to use this for Timeshift and other backup. For some unknown reason the partition says it is owned by Root and I cannot open it or change permissions. What do I need to do so I can access this? It now has no files in it. Re: New partition - LarryB1607 - 08-02-2020 It looks like Timeshift tried to write a snapshot to the new partition. Unfortunately it ran out of space on a 10 GB drive. It has no trouble doing snapshots on either the / or the Home partition which combined are about 72 GB in size, so a few 10 GB snapshots would quickly eat up the space I have for LLOS 4.8. Re: New partition - Valtam - 08-03-2020 So what is to happen here? If you need help creating partitions with the right permissions set, those guides are all in the Help Manual. |
