Sluggish Start up / Shutdown - pauloz - 07-27-2016 Greetings, I have recently installed LL 3.0 on a 6 year old HP TouchSmart tm2 notebook, however I'm finding it to be somewhat sluggish to start up and shutdown. When restarting, it has frozen up on me a couple of times and have had to power off - lately it's been OK although still sluggish to restart. Also the welcome screen i.e the one with the feather, is not occupying the full screen - there's a blue strip around the top and a wider blue strip on the left side of the screen. My display is correctly set at 1280 x 800. Otherwise, everything else is OK. Any ideas? Thanks Paul Re: Sluggish Start up / Shutdown - Valtam - 07-27-2016 Read through the SystemD thread for diagnosing start up - https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/on-topic/systemd-linux-lite-3-0/ Re: Sluggish Start up / Shutdown - pauloz - 07-27-2016 Hmmm, out of my league Jerry. I'm not prepared to risk meddling with something I'm unsure how to proceed with. I'll let sleeping dogs lie. :-\ :-[ Re: Sluggish Start up / Shutdown - Valtam - 07-27-2016 Don't let the command line intimidate you. All you're dong is reading instructions, then copying and pasting. |
