I'm marking this solved. The link Jerry provided worked perfectly--I followed it and it installed, had persistence, AND most importantly it installed updates with NO problems. The only hiccup was in a line at the start: sudo apt install --install-recommends mkusb mkusb-nox usb-pack-efi I removed the " --install-recommends" and it all worked then. The updates had 413 gets from numerous locations. When I installed mksub it also had some quite a few gets and I 1 point it told me to use autoremove to remove some. after that is was all downhill ![]() After the updates my df -h is: Welcome to Linux Lite 4.4 linux Tuesday 04 June 2019, 10:00:14 Memory Usage: 456/3871MB (11.78%) Disk Usage: 3/14GB (30%) Support - https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/ (Right click, Open Link) linux ~ sudo apt autoremove Reading package lists... Run Lite Tweaks and clean everything out at the very least once a week, including older unused kernels. Sent from my Mobile phone using Tapatalk |
