Running LL 4.8. I want to increase the time before the system goes to standby mode. It is the mode after the display quits. When I bring up the PM, it only stays on the desktop for about 1 second and then goes away. Any other way to change these settings?
Thanks

Greets from sunless and drab British Isles..........
Hi!
Ive been using Linux based OS's for about ten years. I currently use several machines with Linux Mint Cinnamon and Ubuntu 22.04 Jammy Jellyfish (silly name or what?).
Im a masochist, I dual boot with Windows 11 and I also run Virtualbox's for test driving stuff.
Recently I found LinuxLite and I really like it. Im running LL 6.6 in my VB now. It has run faultlessly so I am pretty certain that this OS will be a breath of fresh air for a couple of my lower spec laptops. I may even adopt it on a couple of my better models.
I see this system has been well thought out and incorporates some damn useful stuff. It saved me hunting trough synaptic and software manager.
Any rate.............
Thanks, and Ill be keeping an eye on the forum here for sure.

hi i have a asus t100taf, it has a baytrail cpu.
i did a sudo apt-get dist-upgrade and it ended up messing up grub. so i can only get into the system with a recovery usb. Because if i try to boot regularly i will end up at grub resucue.
this is the code i get when i try to run sudo apt-get grub-efi:
Code: apt-get install --reinstall grub-efi

I have a slightly strange question. I noticed that I have 8 GB of RAM, and when I consume 4 GB of RAM (I launched a torrent), and the RAM is not completely full, then for some reason the system goes into swap, although the memory is still remained. Why is this happening?

Networking icon in tray, orange underline - what does it mean? |

I have Linux Lite installed (altho when I go to System Information, it says the operating system is Ubuntu 20.04.6 :023: ). I've noticed recently that the small networking icon down at the bottom right of the tray bar, shows an orange underline below it. I am connected to my network with a WiFi connection and browsing the internet seems normal. Clicking the icon and selecting System information shows the correct network information with no errors.
I tried disabling wifi and networking, and re-enabling, and also rebooting the system, but the orange line continues to show under the networking tray icon. All the latest updates are installed. What does the orange underline signify?

Hello everyone, my apologies for the English translation.
New to this forum, I wanted to greet you.
I wanted to install LL6.6 in dual boot of Win11 on two different disks but I found myself with an alarm 2 to 3 minutes after the start of the installation.
alarm:
End kernel panic-not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount roots on unknown - block(1,0)
Your opinion please because I don't see what else I'm making with the BIOS and an aptio AMI on an Acemagic AD08 mini PC.
Thank you in advance for your help
