Well GIMP 3.0 stable has been released so I gave it whirl as well on LL 7.2 with experimental wayland support. Worked quite nicely and is decently improved. See link below:

I also noticed that Lite-Updates ran with sudo -E from the terminal with no graphical errors reported so I think systemd can be setup with a startup service environment control for it and it will run fine. Anyway forging on.

I've decided to continue testing and tweaking this XFCE 4.20 Wayland LL7 system and report the progress as it goes along. Just follow the original link and I will add new pages as it goes.

I have recently installed the new kernel 6.14.0 and all went well. Boot time was reduced substantially. I won't post on this subject anymore now that the pages are just added to the original post.
